Description
Two women competitors turned collaborators, share their stories of starting and building a consulting business with parallel practices. After successful careers elsewhere and before entrepreneurship (BE), the authors share how and why they made the decisions they did, what got in the way, and what facilitated their success in this “sharing the real story” book.
Seldom do women tell the real and the whole story except to their closest friends. Just A Couple of Women Talkin… is different – it is the good, the bad, and the downright nerve-racking stories, told in coffee shop conversations and kitchen table talk. If the authors were not so experienced, they probably would not tell these stories either, but after this much life experience, the hurtful, the humorous and the mundane take on new meaning. The basics of entrepreneurship are here as well – sales, pricing, cash flow, balancing life to include entrepreneurial work - so that the entire story can be told of what it is truly like to start and build a consulting business. A self-assessment is included for those who are seriously considering consulting.
The authors do not always agree and they explain why they disagree. The reader is challenged to determine what approach is best for her.
Just a Couple of Women Talkin' ... is published by Business Innovation Press, an Imprint of Integrated Media Corporation.
